Moderator: Jessica Chabot - Design Director, Katie Rosenfeld
Jessica Chabot has over 20 years in the construction and design industry. She was educated at Boston Architectural College in Kitchen and Bath Design as well as Interior Design. Currently, she is the Design Director at Katie Rosenfeld and Company which has projects nationwide and range from new construction whole house design and full gut renovations of historic homes. Jess specializes in Interior Architecture and has won several awards for her kitchen and bathroom work and has been published numerous times in New England home and Boston Magazine. She lives in Medway with her husband and two daughters.
Panelist: Carlotta Cubi Mandra- President, Cumar
Like her father, Carlotta Cubi began learning about stone as a child, spending hours leaning over her father’s blueprints, highlighting all the countertops and tile floors. She went on to obtain a business degree from Northeastern University and began her formal employment at Cumar, Inc. in sales and account management. Today, Carlotta is the eighth generation of her family to work with stone, serving as Cumar’s President.
Panelist: Sarah Lawson - Owner, S+H Construction
Think women don't own construction companies? Meet Sarah. She was raised in Lincoln, MA, and learned how to build things from her father, a mechanical engineer. Her first construction job was framing residential renovations in the summer during college.

After 15 years as a technical writer, Sarah decided to go another way and returned to construction, working for a small builder. Not long after, she started her own small general contracting firm, and eventually, she landed at S+H Construction in 2006.

Ten years later, Sarah purchased the award-winning firm and is now building on the company's past success and paving the way for a fresh new future.

Aside from owning and running S+H, Sarah is the mother of six children, as well as a grandmother of seven, a Masters Track and Field competitor, and in her spare time (what spare time?), she plays the stand-up bass.

Panelist: Diana Pauro - Founder, Rebel Builders
Diana grew up in rural Argentina. She remembers loving to visit houses of friends and neighbors and check out their bathrooms, critiquing their design. Not your typical hobby for a 7-year-old, right? By high school, she'd snagged a job with an architect in a small town where being a girl on a job site didn't raise eyebrows. Diana learned from masons, got dirty, and saw the entire build process unfold from start to finish. She went on to architectural school and later owned a company in Argentina that focused on custom homes and commercial spaces. She also worked on affordable housing for the government. Upon moving to the United States, she worked as a designer for an established firm until deciding she was too much of a rebel to play by someone else's rulebook. Diana started Rebel Builders so that she could control the process, improving and adjusting things in-the-moment to achieve the best outcomes for her clients. She sees the work as a team sport and is so grateful to work alongside this amazing crew of creative collaborators.
