The Boston Society of Architects Residential Design Committee (BSA/RDC) and the Builders and Remodelers Association of Greater Boston (BRAGB) invite you to attend an in-person, jointly produced event entitled "Building Collaboration".

Building a collaborative design or build practice is often touted as a "best practice" for successful project design and delivery. Building collaboration between partners is key to growing your business. But how do we create a collaborative practice? And how do we know what a collaborative process looks like?

The moderated panel discussion will address these topics and more!

Please plan on arriving around 5:30 pm at Atlantic Wharf's Fort Point Room in Boston where you may network with local builders, remodelers, architects, and designers. There will be plenty of food and a cash bar. 

Around 7:00 pm we will make opening remarks and introduce our moderator and panelists. The focus will be on collaborative practices the panelists exercise with the goal of providing the best possible outcome for their projects and clients.

Here are our distinguished panelists: 

Moderator:  Ellen Perko	Ellen Perko, AIA, LEED AP BD+C Associate Principal - CBT Architects - Boston, MA Ellen Perko has over 30 years of experience in a variety of civic and residential projects, with expertise in private residential design. An established architect with sustainable design focus, she has a deep understanding of the qualities that make a residence attractive, functional, comfortable, and most importantly, a desirable place to live. In community development and multi-family residential work, Ellen develops design solutions that best respond to a development?s target demographic with the right style, amenities, and unit layouts. Her designs have a human scale, and an aesthetic quality that is appealing and marketable. Ellen leads CBT?s single-family residential design group and has designed custom homes for several repeat clients. Ellen is a sought-after expert in her field and holds a Master of Architecture from Washington University in St. Louis and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from The Ohio State University.
Panelist:  Eric Adams	Eric Adams Owner/Founder - Adams + Beasley Associates, Custom Builders - Carlisle, MA Adams + Beasley principal Eric Adams is often the first person a client, interior designer, or architect will meet when entering into a collaboration with the company. He sets the tone for candor, clarity, accountability, and just as important, reassurance in all interactions. Eric has been building and remodeling homes since he was a boy and has a vast knowledge, experience, and passion for residential construction materials, methods, and details.
Panelist:  Rob Clocker	Rob Clocker, AIA, LEED AP Vice President/Principal - Hacin + Associates - Boston, MA Rob joined Hacin in 2014 and assumed the role of Vice President and Managing Principal in 2023, bringing 30 years of experience in award-winning renovation and new construction projects. During his time at Hacin, he has completed the Whitney Hoel in Beacon Hill, the IIDA New England award-winning IDEO Cambridge, Public Garden Townhouse, and Chestnut Townhouse 2. He is also managing the ongoing mixed-use development at 41 Berkeley Street. Previously a Senior Associate at Perkins+Will in San Francisco, Rob led the revitalization of a 26-story Art Deco office tower, the transformation of a historic hospital to apartments in the Presidio of San Francisco, and the P/A award-winning design for the Calexico Land Port of Entry. As an advocate for stewardship of the built environment, he has spoken publicly on adaptive re-use and sustainable design. Rob is a registered architect, LEED Accredited Professional, and member of the Ipswich Zoning Board of Appeals. He holds a Master of Architecture degree from MIT and an undergraduate degree in Architecture from the University of Virginia.
Panelist:  Allison Iantosca	Allison Iantosca Owner/President - F.H. Perry Builder - Hopkinton, MA Allison earned a BS from Skidmore College and has studied business and leadership extensively, including certifications in Skills for Influential Leaders and Leadership in the 21st Century at the Gestalt International Study Center (GISC). Allison joined her family business, FH Perry Builder, in 2000 and became owner and president in 2008. Allison is a GISC-trained executive coach and is a certified ACC by the International Coaching Federation. Among other recognitions, Allison was named a Distinguished Mentor by Design New England and, most recently FH Perry Builder was inducted into the New England Design Hall of Fame. Allison has also recently published Leading with HEART a collection of essays on life and leadership.
Panelist:  Adriana Ramacciotti	Adriana Ramacciotti Senior Interior Designer - DiMella Shaffer - Boston, MA Adriana is a Senior Interior Designer who has spent much of her career working on corporate and multi-family projects. More recently she's been drawn to senior living projects where she strives to create unique environments and find solutions that allow residents to maintain their independence and dignity and continue a productive life.  Adriana is a licensed interior designer with a master's in architecture from the Boston Architectural College. This combination of skills helps her serve as a bridge between the architects, interior designers, and consultants to achieve a seamless collaboration between disciplines.  At DiMella Shaffer she leads the Healthy Materials initiative and works to educate and encourage the use of sustainable materials across the firm. A native of Argentina, Adriana speaks three languages.
